Northeast Equine Sanctuary is on Ford Road in Durham, NY; not far from here. Call 519-634-7493. They have a lot of horses and ponies looking for homes.
Most are sadly limited to ‘companion’ or ‘pasture pet’ status, having been used up and discarded by previous owners. Others able to return to use with TLC may also be available. (I warn you that they are a bit full of their own importance.)
