Hi, I'm Pam Harder.
My current equines are registered Morgans; Kate, 19 a chestnut, and her 2yo bay daughter Abby. Cherie Pettit has been teaching both Abby and me to do lots of cool stuff.
Like lunging for respect, standing still while being saddled, long lining, driving, and trail riding. We both like her a lot!
Kate has been my horse since she was 13. We have put a lot of miles on the two of us. She is a wonderful (though sometimes full-of-it) trail horse.
We did hunt seat, jumping, dressage and a little eventing, with Dorothy Davidson when we lived in Clarksville. Eventing is Kate's favorite
and dressage isn't! Horse shows aren't her favorite either. Kate likes
bombing the trails with me especially if there are logs and creeks to jump.
She also very much likes visiting neighbors and construction sites.
I'm a 62 year old bareback riding kid (in other words I never got over being 12 and on a horse).My latest riding fun is arena polo. I just started my 5th season. I absolutely love polo and polo ponies. I love to trail ride and my only formal training was with Dorothy.
We sold our house in Clarksville two years ago and had to live in an
apartment. Kate and Abby stayed with "aunt" Martha Macdonald. They liked being at Martha's and Martha started Abby on lunging and long lining.
Now we (my husband, John and my Mother, Helen) live on Thompson’s Lake road near Knox and many miles of trails. We all kiss the horses good morning.
