Sometimes we ride in Westerlo on the old Tompkins homestead on Co RT 404 just west of the jct with Co Rt 401 above the basic res.
Parking will depend on where we are riding out from, look for the plastic pony and turn in there. This is a primitive location with no electric or running water and no toilets.
Take Route 155 South to the end (approximately 4 miles). Turn right (west)
onto Route 85A. On 85A drive through the village of Voorheesville. Go past
the "New Scotland" sign and the Sheriff's office (on your right) and turn right onto Martin Road.
The Albany County Cooperative Extension Office is
a one story brick building on your right. There is a large parking area.
Take the Northway (I-87) south to Route 20 and turn right (west). Go
West approximately 2.5 miles on Route 20. Turn left (south) onto Route
155. (see above).
If you prefer to avoid tolls, you can take Route 20 East. From Route 20
take a right turn onto Route 155 South. (see above).
The best I can tell you is find 85 and 85A by the Punkintown fair, go past the fairgrounds heading north out of town
stay to the right at the fork, pass the highway dept. building on your right and the school on your left. As you go down a slight
hill, Martin Road is on your left and the Co-op is the second place in on the right.
Outside meetings are generally held at Locust Knoll Farm, off Route 443, on Locust Knoll Lane in Clarksville, N.Y. There is a sign, but not the 'golden shoes'.
From the north that will be a right hand turn about a mile down, when coming from the jct of 443 and 85 at Stewarts.
From the south on 443 go through the village and the turn will be on your left, about a half mile beyond.
The Altamont Fairground are right in the village. Horse trailers need to use the Brandle Road entrance to reach the show ring.
The entry on the north from 146, a left at the edge of the village is marked by a large fair billboard. On Rt 156 from the south, Brandle Road will sneak up on you.
it appears suddenly on the right after a bend in the road. Be warned also that a few hundred feet in it takes an extreamly sharp 90 degree turn to the left.
The fairgrounds entrance will be about a mile further on the left, you will be looking for the third entrance. This should not be a problem since it should be the only open one.
Meetings are sometimes held at the home of Dianna and Sherman Reed-Coonradt, on Parkers Corners Road in Schenectady.
From almost any location get on Route 20 and take the north turn opposite the Jct. with Route 397, Dunnsville Road. Go to the four cornors,
there will be white fence on your right, turn left on Parkers Cornors Road. THERE IS NO SUCH SIGN! The house is a short way up on the right, look for a blue horse trailer, not the golden shoe.
Location for an equine seminar on State Route 32 in Westerlo at the Hilltown Farm and Garden Center. 518-797-3697
When we are heading for an indoor arena it is probably Glenda's. Time constraints don't allow her to make the meetings as a rule, but she remains 'active' by allowing us to come to her.

Directions to The Cooperative Extention in Voorheesville.
Meetings are generally held here at the Co-op, where we have a large room and lots of parking.
From Route 155:
From the North:
From the West on Route 20:
From the south there are so many possibilities...
